Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen Review
So after having ventured to the pop-up shop, I discovered Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen. If handmade soaps, candles and bath bombs are your thing, then check out this place. They offer vintage inspired products with a playful touch to them.
Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen is a family run business in Edinburgh. Their moto is everything you put on your skin you should be able to eat. This is a great moto. I had the chance to try the chocolate body butter which actually had chocolate in it. It was honestly so good, I could have just licked it off there and then.
After having picked up the raspberry rice body scrub and trying it, I had to purchase more. It left my skin feeling lovely and soft and smelling of raspberries. The scents on their products are all very natural, nothing seems too over the top.
Having checked out the website, I decided that the best way to try out a range of their products was to buy a grab bag. This is a fantastic idea. For £5 you get a bag filled with goodies worth up to £20. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as thing like these are often a bit of a let down. But due to the high demand, I had mine hand delivered to my flat and could not wait to see what was inside these bags. The smell was awesome. Each bag contained a variety of items and I was pleasantly surprised. There was a good mixture of soaps, candles, scrubs and little hand made cards in each.
This bag contained – 2 handmade cards, a glass candle, 2 smaller candle jars, a sniff the rainbow slice of soap, 3 peach wax melts, a cupcake candle, a small jar of rice scrub and a massage bar. Got one of the candles burning just now and it smells lie that smell when you walk into Lush or The Body Shop.
This bag contained – A handmade card, a slice of sniff the rainbow soap, a slice of hot apple pie loofah loaf, 3 lavender wax melts, 2 small candles, a small scrub soap bar and a lovely tea cup and saucer with a vanilla candle.
The grabs bags are a great idea, and if they don’t take your fancy there is definitely something on the website that will. These bags are definitely worth the money and I can’t wait to get using all the different soaps and scrubs. I’ll never have smelled so good. Best watch out someone doesn’t think that I am edible and try to take a bite out of me!
