Review: Breakfast at The Restoration Yard, Dalkeith
Restoration yard has quickly become our go to place when we want something tasty within a few miles of our home. Even more so now that Alfie is here and I’m spending more time down there at parent and baby classes. I think a huge chunk of my maternity pay has been spent on coffee and cake down there.
On this occasion we popped down from some breakfast with Alfie. We knew it was a pretty safe place to venture as they are well prepared for children and there was plenty of space to walk if it all got a bit much for him. Browsing the menu we both opted for our usual. Mr E had the cooked breakfast with a tomato juice and I had a bacon roll with homemade tomato chutney.
Breakfast was very tasty. The ingredients used in the full breakfast are sourced as close to the Estate as they can find. The breakfast was full of high quality ingredients each packed full of flavour. The bacon roll was equally as delicious and certainly hit the spot. Service here is great with nothing too much bother. During the weekends it can be pretty busy so we would recommend booking ahead, we like to pop down during the week when it’s a bit quieter.
