Beer52 updated review

November 4, 2016 by Her Leave a Comment

So a wee while ago we tried out a Beer52 box and loved it. When Ben from Beer52 got in touch and asked if we would like to try out their new and improved box we couldn’t say no. We loved it first time around and were pretty sure it would be equally as good. Our box arrived on a Saturday morning, so a fantastic start to our weekend. We quickly investigated the contents of our box and discovered a few familiar favourites and also some new beers to try out.

Since our last box, Beer52 now have almost 10,000 members and FERMENT is now the UK’s number one craft beer magazine and available in WHSmith. With your box you are treated to a copy of FERMENT, your beer and also a few snacks.

Beer52 are now working with some of the best and biggest breweries in the world – Brewdog, Mikkeller, Oskar Blues, Chimay, Odell to name a few. They’re working hard with the smaller breweries and are included more limited edition beer.

The box we sampled included Fyne Ales, Stewart Brewing, Brewdog, Black Isle, Brewgooder, Wooha and Edinburgh Beer Factory. Now we had hoped we would be able to work our way through the beer during a weekend but unfortunately we had a busy few weekends and have had to sample the beers over the course of a few weeks. Although there is nothing better than opening the fridge and seeing that you’ve got some good beer there if you want/need one.

Our thoughts? It was just as good as we remembered, if not better. We loved the selection of local breweries. For £24 we reckon it’s pretty good value. When you take into consideration the price of the magazine and snack the beers do work out at pretty good deal. Sign up for a longer plan and the box becomes even cheaper! We reckon it makes a pretty good Christmas present, check out the gift shop for a range of presents depending on your budget and be sure to treat yourself when you’re there!
