NOW CLOSED – Bond No. 9 Review

October 24, 2013 by Her 2 Comments

So Bond No.9 was our choosen venue for an evening out.

It’s situated down at the Shore and within walking distance for us to stumble home.

Bond No.9 is perfect for those romantic dinners out or just relaxing with a few drinks and great friends.

When we arrived, we were greeted by our very friendly waitress, who showed us to our table and talked us through the specials and left us to make our choices.  The menu is small but it caters for all tastes.

My choices for the night were;

Warm pulled pork and vegetable pancakes, Spinach and mushroom risotto, and saving the best til last, homemade carrot cake

His choices were,

Chorizo in a cider sauce with warmed wholemeal bread, Baked chicken supreme with parmentier potatoes, Stornoway black pudding, spinach, wild mushrooms & drizzled with herb infused olive oil and finally white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake.

Each dish was delicious and well cooked.  It was simple but tasty and there wasn’t a crumb left.

Dishes for starters ranged from £4-£5, mains £9-£11 and desserts £4.50-£6.

Our waitress for the night was more than friendly and looked after us well.  Service was speedy and we both left with full tums 🙂

Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a relaxed, cosy evening out.

    We love Bond No. 9, great burgers and cocktails.

    Not tried the chorizo in a cider sauce but will be sure to next time we visit.

      It is lovely! Brings back memories of summer holidays. We did spy the burgers and they looked delicious. Putting bond no.9 back on the list of places to try.
