Competition: Brewhemia Competition

August 1, 2017 by Her 3 Comments

Now you might have heard through the grapevine that there’s a new kid on the block when it comes to beer. If you haven’t you might want to check out our last post on Brewhemia. They’re literally tapping into the tank beer offering and have got three fantastic tanks beers lined up, Jack Back by Stewart Brewing, Pilsner Urquell and Paolozzi by The Edinburgh Beer Factory. We love the mix of local beers and a firm favourite of ours after having been to Prague and trying out unfiltered tank Pilsner. We think it really is that good.

Along with offering Pilsner, they’ll also be offering the three different pours by a member of staff who has successfully completed the tapster programme. Keep reading to find out how you can win the chance to pour your own beer and a £100 voucher to spend in Brewhemia.

The Three Pour Types

The Hladinka (Smooth)

The classic pour. It’s smooth with soft carbonation and ideally served at the start of a meal. When a Tapster pours a Hladinka, they first create a layer of foam and then fill the beer beneath it, which preserves freshness and flavour.

The Na Dvakrat (Crisp)

The Na dvakrát has the least amount of foam of all the classic Pilsner pours with a thin layer of white foam on top. It’s refreshing and helps keep the beer fresh over a longer period of time.

The Mliko (Milk)

The Tapster opens the tap slightly, letting the glass fill up to the top with foam. Some of this foam then settles, becoming beer. Resulting in a smooth and creamy pour to be drunk quickly.

While in Prague we made sure to order Mliko so we can’t wait to try it here. Just be careful not to peeve of the bar staff and order a big round of them like we did. They’re supposed to be drunk quickly and it will involve the bar staff pouring and running to make sure it gets to you in time. It’s not to everyone’s taste but definitely worth trying once.

Competition

So to win yourself a chance to pour your own beer and £100 to spend at Brewhemia all you need to do it follow the instructions below. The competition closes 6pm on Sunday 6th August 2017 with the winner being announced later that evening.
