Flavourly Craft Beer Club Review

August 29, 2015 by Him Leave a Comment

Last month the nice folks at Flavourly sent us a sample box of their craft beer offerings for us to try out. A while back we were sent a sample box from Beer52 and really enjoyed it so were keen to get stuck into the Flavourly box and you can find out our beer addled thoughts on it below!

What is it?

Flavourly Craft Beer Club is:

“Premium Small Batch Craft Beers. Personalised to your taste. Delivered to you monthly.” In your Flavourly box you will find expertly curated craft beers from independent microbreweries nationwide. The boxes are hand packed and delivered via Royal Mail.

What does it cost?

£24 per month (£20 + £4 p&p) for 8 beers delivered to your door. At £3 a beer for good craft beer this is a pretty decent price, even before taking into account everything that Flavourly put into the boxes – the selection process, the packaging, the little extras that come with your box such as free snacks, beer mats, info on all the beers and brewers and a tasting guide for new sign ups. If you decide you like whats on offer (lets be honest why wouldn’t you) you can sign up for longer periods and get money off the monthly cost – 3 months for £19 + p&p, 6 months for £18 + p&p or 12 months for £17 + p&p.

You can also choose to stop and start your membership at any time so you are not tied into anything. Great if you are; having a dry month (what!?), going on holiday etc.

How is it?

Excellent. Our Flavourly box had a really nice selection of beers. There was 4 beers I had tried previously out of the 9 (Flavourly sent us a lovely extra – Innis & Gunn Spiced Rum Finish, cheers guys!) which isn’t bad as I would say I’ve tried my fair share of craft beers. There really wasn’t a bad beer in there, with the Firebrand Brewing Co’s Black Saison, Hiver The Honey Ale and Stewart Brewing Black IPA being a few personal favourites.

Another nice feature of Flavourly is the option to choose from 3 types of boxes – lighter beers, darker beers or a mixed case. Excellent if you, like me, have a particular preference for the darkness.

£12 off! Cheap Beer Alert!

If you fancy some great craft beers delivered to your door you can get £12 off your first box by signing up via our link – Flavourly Craft Beer Club Signup. They also offer the option of gifting boxes which is a great idea for a birthday or fathers day (or mothers day) or Monday or any day..

If you do decide to try out the Flavourly Craft Beer Club please let us know what you thought in the comments below or on twitter.

Cheers!
