News: Rock Rose Gin Terrace Opens

June 4, 2018 by Him Leave a Comment

Five-star design hotel Radisson Collection Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh is delighted to announce that its summer terrace, pop-up bar with ‘Rock Rose’ gin is now open for the summer.  Come rain or shine, Radisson Collection Royal Mile and Rock Rose expert mixologists will be on hand to serve a variety of beverages at the bar.

The hidden terrace besides Cucina restaurant is located off the Royal Mile and will be a welcome respite for hungry festival-goers, tourists and city-dwellers looking for a post-work tipple from the most northern gin distillery on mainland Britain.

Rock Rose Gin is a multi-award winning premium handcrafted Scottish gin using locally foraged botanicals including Rhodiola rosea and Sea Buckthorn. The team will be showcasing Rock Rose Gin’s distinctive cocktails, designed exclusively for the hotel.

Guests can choose from a wide range of drinks, from the adventurous ‘Colourist Medley’ with Rock Rose gin, clarified lime, roses, red mustard and egg whites to the sustainable ‘A Bee’s Journey’ which places the importance of bee preservation and awareness at its centre.

A Bees Journey was designed by Radisson Collection Royal Mile Hotel’s mixologists who were inspired by the hotel’s own rooftop honey bees; a pack of wild flower seeds which can be sown at home accompanies every cocktail, helping wild and domesticated bees to survive and prosper.

Whilst at the terrace guests can also enjoy Cucina restaurant’s new vegan or traditional afternoon tea menu and a new summer lunch and dinner menu serving fresh seafood, pasta and risotto and the finest Scottish cuts. Alternatively, visitors can dine from Epicurean bar’s Mediterranean bar menu. The terrace will be open throughout summer from 12 noon – 10pm.
