Buzzing afternoon tea at One Square, Edinburgh

April 16, 2015 by Her 2 Comments

Spring has sprung and a fantastic afternoon tea has appeared on the menu at One Square. In keeping with the Spring feeling they’ve created an afternoon tea around honey and flowers. The menu giving a full account of each delicious treat we tasted can be found here.

First things, first we had to select which tea we wanted. I opted for the elderflower and darjeeling and Jonathan opted for red bush caramel velvet. If you have any allergies One Square are more than happy to accommodate you and if there is something on the menu which you don’t like, it can be swapped for another on the menu.

It was a lovely touch having the scones brought out when we were ready for them as they were still warm. The service was second to none. Our teapots were filled up without even having to ask and our waiter was very attentive. If you’ve not been to One Square before then it’s definitely worth a visit. The dining area is beautiful and modern without being impersonal. If unlike us you can’t finish everything, they are more than happy to box it up so you can enjoy the rest at home. My favourite bit was the passionfruit meringue and lemon posset. Jonathan’s favourite bit was the honey and blueberry cheesecake.

The afternoon bee tea is available between now and the end of May between 2.30-5.30pm priced at £25 per person. Thank you One Square for letting us taste this little bit of heaven!
